The beta-glucosidase gene is a truncated form of a natural gene from Microbacterium esteraromaticum strain GS514 (GenBank: JN603821.1) with optimized codons according to E.coli codon bias. The araC coding sequence and bi-directional promoter pBAD/araC are from E.coli K12 genome.
